What a Day!

Although we knew the girls were going back to Fresno soon, a few things changed along the way. They left today, Thursday April 23, they left by helicopter and they went to Children's Hospital of Central California. I am starting at the end of the day and working my way back. This is Clara leaving the hallowed halls of Lucile Packard.
Katie is giving her touch that says have a safe journey and I will see you soon.
Clara is all bundled and ready for her first helicopter ride.
Staff from Children's is getting her ready to go as Katie looks on.

Gloria wishes her a safe journey. Oh, how we will miss our nurses!

Katie and Gloria share a laugh on this whirlwind day.

Clara is following her sister to their new hospital home.

Clara is just sleeping away and will wake up in her new location, closer to home and her loving family.

This is Olivia's helicopter arriving at the helicopter pad at CHCC.

Jeremy, Grandma Jannita, Aunt Hannah, Aunt Sarah and Aunt Rachel are there to greet them.

Hospital personnel are there to take her inside.

Olivia going to her new "home."
Olivia is making her way down the long corridors to her helicopter.

Have a safe journey.
A quick wave and off she goes.

A bundle of joy and spirit

Don't forget me or my pacifier.
Head'em up! Move'em out !

Bye, bye, Molly, I love you.

Katie, Olivia, Jasmine and Theresa say their goodbyes. They are incredible people.

We will miss you so much!
This is Jeremy's first baby picture.
This is Katie on her first day. This might help you vote.
Praise God for this miracle. I will write more about the journey tonight. Love to all of you.
(My computer is acting up.)

Then and Now

This is Olivia a few days after her birth. I put these pictures on to show you the progress they have made in 7 weeks.

Here she is again. So very tiny but what a fighter.
This is Olivia today. She weighs 3 lbs. and looks amazing. She is on cannula and she loves it.

She had a bath tonight and you can see her sweet little face.

Looking all around and enjoying having no tubes on her.

She looks so healthy and happy, I had a hard time picking which picture I liked the best.

Cute hat, cute girl.

This is what Clara looked like when she first arrived at Lucile Packard.

This is another picture of Clara in the beginning.

Clara now!

I think brown is her color.

No breathing tubes, just her feeding tube. She loves being free.
Sweet Clara.

She is blowing us all kisses.

We love you, Gloria. We will be forever grateful for your loving care of Olivia.

We love you, Theresa. You took such amazing care of both the girls.

What a special moment for Grandma Jannita and Clara! You can see that in both their faces.
Big News!
The girls and family will be heading back to Fresno Community Hospital either Friday or Saturday. They have made steady progress and now it is time to reunite the family in their home town. We are so grateful to the staff of the Nicu for everything they have done for our girls. We have made so many friends, who we will never forget. Our friends and family have been so great. The prayers and support have made all the difference. Please continue to pray for them. This is not the end but a new beginning.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

This is Olivia. Notice anything missing? She is on nasal cannula. This is a big step for her. As of last night she was doing very well on it.
Baby Power! Now we can see her beautiful face!

Swaddle and in her mom's arms and wearing a cute hat from cousin Margaret, life is good.

Here I am! I weigh 2 lbs 15.6 ounces.

She still has her guard for her feeding tube but now she is free to look around.

Meanwhile, down on the ground floor, Jeremy is seeing how Clara likes her pacifier.
She weighs 4 lbs. 4.43 ounces.

Clara is just hanging out.

See that beautiful round belly?!?

She loves to hold hands.

This a sly little smile for the camera.

One of Olivia's favorite nurses Sharon, checks her heart. We love our nurses!
Praise God for our blessings, Olivia and Clara.
