New big girl seat

The girls got a new seat called a Bumbo and they seem to enjoy it. I asked Katie if her new house felt like home and she said almost.

Olivia on the mend

Olivia was feeling pretty punk all weekend and with a trip to Dr. Singh's office and a visit with Tracy, they found out she has infections in both ears. With the help of antibiotics, she is feeling better and everyone else is happy, too.

Life is down the Street

You would think I would have pictures of the new house or all the hardworking people that were helping Katie and Jeremy move but once again those darling girls were irresistible. (Grandpa Tim, Grandma Jannita, Aunt Hannah and Pops worked very hard and I held babies, which is not work only pleasure.) Love and blessings to all of you. The move is not done but great progress has been made. When Bill the Cat is safely back in Fresno, we will call it done.

Sleep tight

Tomorrow is moving day or at least the big stuff is going. We hope everyone gets a good night sleep, it is going to be a busy day. Olivia is getting a head start on the sleep and Clara is almost there.

Baby Media Blitz

This is the girls first dip in the pool.

Clara is looking a little suspiciously at Brock. Katie said he kept everyone entertained all weekend.

This is quite the line up!
Clara and Olivia having a little tummy time.
Brock is getting all of Olivia's attention but Clara seems to be far more interested in Olivia's hand.
It seems like just yesterday when Katie and Enid were sitting on my couch talking about the Prom or a big game. Now they have children of their own.
They love to sit up.

Brock was the big boy this weekend. He had lots of babies to hold.

Gloria and Analia were Olivia's and Clara's primary nurses from the first day they arrived at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. They will always hold special spots in all of our hearts.

Happy family
Two of the nurse practitioners visit with the twins. Clara was not happy about having the bottle removed to take the picture.

Analia and Gloria are friends. When the twins were being transferred to Stanford, Gloria said to Analia lets be their primary nurses. Analia was not so sure but Gloria said I'll give you the bigger twin, which was Clara, figuring Olivia, being the smaller twin would have more issues. That first night Clara was the one with all the issues. It did all even out in the end and they were so vital in their survival. We love them. We have nothing but gratitude and love for the people, who touched our girls' lives.

Word from the wanderers

Before they left for Capitola, they purchased front carriers. Katie said they worked great for their trip to the beach. They went swimming in the pool and wore the outfits they are wearing in the above picture. The first picture shows what the are doing right now. They are taking lots of pictures and we will see them later. It has been great fun.
They did get the keys to their new house right before they left town.

The warmth of a friend's presence brings joy to our hearts,
sunlight to our souls and pleasure to all of life.

Summer reruns and Bill the cat

Clara on September 4, 2009. She is 6 months old.
Clara on March 23, 2009. She is 19 days old.
This is Olivia on September 4, 2009. She is 6 months old.

This is Olivia on March 29, 2009. She is 25 days old.

This is Bill the Cat. He is Alan and Linda Baker's house guest.
He belongs to our son Jon Baker and he is living with us until he moves into his new digs. He likes to harass our chocolate lab, Riley, who is incredibly tolerant.
Sorry for the side trip, it is mostly for Jon so he can get a look at his cat. L.B.

Katie and Jeremy and the twins are on their excellent adventure to Capitola and the NICU reunion at Lucile Packard's Children's Hospital, at Stanford. I thought it might be interesting to travel back and look at how far our sweet babies have come. People will say to us, 'Oh your babies are so fat.' I just say thank you. God's work is so evident in them and we know we have experienced a miracle. We looking forward to the pictures from their trip, until then you will have to indulge me and whatever I can come up with.
