Friday's Update on Olivia and Clara
Although we are not in Palo Alto right now, we get frequent updates on the twins. Each baby has her own nurse for the day shift and another nurse of their own for night shift. Katie got a report on each of them at about 1:30 p.m. I know that it is not proper to discuss "poop" in polite company but each of them pooped and that means their intestines are working. In this case, pooping is reason for celebration. They each had a brain ultrasound and they both came out normal. Both are scheduled for heart echocardiograms today and are the same with their respiratory status, which is very good. Katie's doctor appointment went well and the doctor was pleased with her recovery. We are packed and ready to go back to Stanford as soon as Jeremy gets out of work on Saturday. I glad the girls are doing so well. I will be checking the blog while I'm in the Caribbean. I really enjoy the updates. I feel like I'm there with all of you.
Linda, the class got your card and thought it was very funny that you were reading and singing to the girls.
Drive safely back and forth to Stanford. Hope you like my gift. Alan should have them, I hope.

The names you picked for the babies are very sweet.. Uncle Mark likes the name Olivia the best where I, Aunt Mary likes Clara ..We read about them everyday.. The Oregon Bakers... P.S. Zak looks at the pictures of the babies and smiles..
