Eat and grow

Clara, like most babies, loves to be swaddled in a warm blanket when going to sleep.
There is the proof-she weighs 5lbs. 2.7 ozs.

After a day of work, there is nothing better than holding your baby.
Katie has a brand new what she calls a "mom haircut". It is shorter and requires less care but still very cute. Clara is enjoying a bottle.
A pacifier is just not enough for Olivia, she is using her thumb, too.
She is really moving around in her isolette, I think she is looking for Clara.
The next stop for her is her own crib.
Peek-a-boo, Olivia. She weighs 3 lbs. 9.5 ozs.
Olivia is contently sleeping.
Blessings abound. Eat and grow is our theme. Love to you all.

Reach out and touch somebody's hand

The sisters together with their dad are enjoying some holding time.

This is Olivia, still with her cannula, and making progress. She weighs 3lbs. 9 ozs.
She loves to sleep on her dad's chest. She did do some feeding from a bottle. It is a slow process learning to manage a bottle.
Clara had a bath and tried on a new outfit.
You can say she is chubby if you want-that is a great compliment for us.
She weighs 5lbs. 1oz.
Due to the swine flu invasion, Clara and Olivia will be receiving no visitors except their parents.
Protecting the girls from exposure to any kind of illness is vital for their well being.
Thank you for your continued prayers and interest in the Hoff family. Everyday they get a little older and a little stronger. Please pray for God's constant blessing.

Feeder growers

Olivia is wearing her Stanford cap and saying yeh for Stanford. Our family has always been Cal fans due to Katie's grandma and grandma's brother and sister and Katie's cousin John I. going there. We will now route for Stanford teams unless they are playing Cal.
The official term for the twins now is feeder/growers. That is their job right now, to eat and grow. They are doing a fine job of it.
Clara is being held with loving care by Grandma Jannita, who can come and get some hold time in now that they are in Fresno. We would all love to hug you, Clara.

Olivia is growing. She weighs 3lbs. 7ozs.
What a sweet, sleeping baby!

Here is another sweet, sleeping baby!

Here is Clara sleeping contently on her dad's chest.
She weighs 5 lbs.

Rerun season already?

Due to technical difficulties, we were unable to get the pictures from today on the blog. I went back to the archives and picked one of my favorite pictures. This was from Friday, April 24. This is Katie holding her girls together for the very first time.
Yesterday was a day of errands for the Hoff parents and visiting the girls. The twins are doing well and love the midnight hour for visiting.
God bless all of our family and friends.

The news from Children's

This is a view of the Children's Hospital of Central California, where the girls have taken up residence.
One of Clara' first attempts at the bottle.

Hey, that is not so bad.

She did get some of it inside her body.
This is little Olivia snoozing in her favorite spots.

A light shining on our beautiful Olivia
Jeremy's Grandma Opal watches Olivia's nurse checking her out.
Everyone is getting used to their new surroundings and in Katie and Jeremy's case, their old surroundings. It is nice to have everyone back together again.

Saturday at Children's Hospital

Clara was wide awake at 12:30 last night. Good luck, Katie and Jeremy.
Olivia still loves her paci. She has moved up to the next size.
Clara is starting to try out a bottle, she still has her feeding tube until she masters the bottle and breast.

At Children's visitors wear hospital gowns. I thought I would let you know so you didn't think we all went to the same sale.
That smile is impossible to wipe off this grandma's face.
Clara is content, too.

Sweet Olivia. At this hospital, Olivia will not be wearing clothes until she is a little bigger.
New hospital new rules. The important thing is they
care for them and help them grow, which they are doing. They are in a private room together and the parents are allowed to spend the night. Katie and Jeremy spent the night with their girls last night for the very first time.
Grandpa Tim takes a peek at Olivia.
Katie and Jeremy's friend Tracy pays a visit in the girls new room. The room is roomy and has it own full size bathroom. We have been blessed every step of the way.
This young man was playing in the lobby of the hospital. Music follows them everywhere they go.
This is the view of the daycare center at the hospital.
What a journey! Thank you for coming along with us. We are the passengers and God is driving.
Love to all from the Hoff Family.

Sisters: Forever Friends

Clara and Olivia together for the first time since they were born. It is a perfect match.
Katie said it was like being a tennis match she kept turning her head back and forth. She is trying to keep both of their pacifiers in their mouths.
Side by side and loving it

This is a smile that lights up the world.
I had some computer issues but we are in business now. Katie said she had the best shower she has had since the twins were born. It is so nice for Katie and Jeremy to be home and their daughters just a small car ride away. Jeremy made sure that Katie came home to a clean house
and Oscar was very happy to see her. You have our continued gratitude for all your prayers.
God continues to bless our family.
